Maybe you have years of experience teaching literature and writing.

Or maybe you’re teaching that novel for the very first time.

Either way, I know you. I AM you!

That dubious honor, we all know, goes to the time it takes to plan excellent lessons, create top-notch materials, and write meaningful quizzes and tests.

To brainstorm fun activities, make up vocabulary lists, research and assemble slide shows on historical context, background, and author bios…

And that’s not even mentioning the necessity to align everything we teach with the appropriate standards…

It seems endless. It seems impossible.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. I have solutions for you that will lower your level of stress and raise the level of excellence in your classroom.

I’m Dr. Cora Bresciano, former university English Instructor, current high-school English Language Arts educator, teaching literature and writing to IB, AICE, Honors, and mainstream students. I’m also the creator of Really Lit–your go-to source for high-quality resources for the high school literature and writing classroom.

I create lesson plans, activities, and unit plans based around novels, short stories, memoirs, and plays. They’re designed to draw students into a deep appreciation for the beauty and power of story.

And to teach them how to express themselves creatively with words, poems, and tales of their own.

Spend your time teaching, not stressing. And spend your off-hours any way you like!

Really Lit is a brand-new shop, and I’m creating new resources all the time, so check back often. And if there’s a particular resource you’d like to see offered, drop me a line! I can probably help.
